We all know the moment Harry Potter put on the sor We all know the moment Harry Potter put on the sorting hat. The sorting hat told him his personality would be a great fit with Slytherin. But Harry wished for a different result. A different life. He saw he could BE a Gryffindor and this convinced the sorting hat to accept his choice. And choice is far more more important than who you currently are. In this story lies a fundamental truth and lesson that we can apply to our own life. "You can become who you choose to be". Really, it doesn't matter who you are right now. What matters much more is who you want to become. So even though our own personality partly defines who we are, we should never let it limit our potential. It should never be the reason we cannot do or achieve something. Like Albert Einstein said; "Imagination is far more important than knowledge". Because with imagination we can look into the future and see a new version of ourselves. We should always imagine being our own hero. Always looking ahead 10 years and seeing who you can be. You definitely won't ever be as good as your hero, but it gives you something to chase. How does your future version look like? Let that be the catalyst for change in the present moment.
